35th Annual Derby Firecracker Race

Saturday, July 2
4-Mile at 7:30 a.m./1-Mile at 8:30 a.m.

Entry fees
$25 for 13 and older
($5 discount for Derby Running Club members)
$15 for 12 and under
Age group awards will be in 5 year increments to 70+.

Independence Day Parade
July 4 at 10 a.m.
Sponsored by the Derby VFW Post 7253 and American Legion Post 408.

Parade Route: Begins at Panther Stadium (just east of Madison Ave. and Woodlawn Blvd.), proceeds west on Madison to Georgie, south on Georgie to Market, east on Market back to the middle school (entrance near tennis courts). View the parade route map.

Derby Historical Museum Open
July 4 after the parade (approx. 11 a.m.) to 2 p.m.

Admission is free, donations are welcome.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a relaxing and family-friendly evening at High Park.

The sand volleyball court near the enclosed shelter will be turned into a large sandbox with items to build sand castles. Sure to entertain your kids for hours! Cornhole sets will be available and there will be three bounce houses.

Free ice cream will be served. Food will be available for purchase from B.S. Sandwich Press, SnoKo Shaved Ice, Black Sheep Kettle Corn and Noble House Hawaiian Plate Lunch.

Arrive early to avoid parking delays. ADA parking is available north of the Zimmerman Family Shelter.
