Customer Information Update
We need to update our databases. Help us by calling 788-1424 to ensure we have the correct email and phone number or fill out an online information update form.

The El Paso Water Company (Derby Water Division), is owned by the City of Derby. The city purchases, supplies, and distributes high quality water to the approximately 9,000 customers. Public Works manages and maintains the infrastructure, three water towers, and the El Paso Water Treatment Facility and City’s well field.

  • Ways to Pay Your Bill

    1. Pay online.
    2. Sign up for the Auto Pay Plan.
    3. Call 788-1424 to make a credit card payment.
    4. Drop your payment off at City Hall (Mon-Thurs 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
    5. Drop your payment off at the City Hall Drop Box (24 hours a day).

    Paperless Billing - NEW!
    Sign up to receive your bill electronically each month. To enroll, print the Paperless Billing form and return to our office or fill out the online enrollment form. All bills, notices and the Derby News will be sent to the e-mail provided.
    Water Services
    Water service can be turned on or off the day following request for service or the same day in an emergency situation.

    If residential or commercial water was turned off due to non-payment, service can be restored the same day prior to 3:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Water will be turned back on once the past due balance has been paid, including a $30 late fee. Call 788-1424 for assistance.

    New Customers
    New account holders are asked to sign up for service in person at City Hall. A driver's license or other photo identification are required, along with a non-refundable $25 service initiation fee.

    If you are unable to make it into our office, e-mail a completed New Service Form along with a copy of your driver's license to . Once received, a clerk will contact you to verify the information and collect a $25 non-refundable service fee, which is required before services can be started. The form and ID must be sent at least three business days before the start of services. Submission of form does not guarantee services until fee is paid and a clerk has given you a new account number for confirmation.

    Water Hardness
    The hardness of Derby's water is seven grains of hardness per gallon of water. This is considered moderately hard.
