Legislative Relations

There is strength in numbers.

That’s why the City of Derby acts in cooperative partnership with regional organizations Visioneering Wichita and the Regional Economic Area Partnership (REAP) to develop legislative agendas for state and federal legislators that represent the best interests of the economic region.

In addition to its affiliation with these local alliances, the City of Derby maintains and develops individual relationships with local, state and federal legislators. This connectivity affords Derby the "face to a name" familiarity that enables the City to voice support for legislation that is in the best interest of the City organization and the Derby community.
