Community Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers

In August 2007, Kansas Lt. Governor Mark Parkinson initiated an effort to promote volunteerism in the State of Kansas. A statewide website - www.volunteerks.ks.gov - serves as an outlet for volunteer organizations and volunteers to match opportunities for volunteers and interested volunteers.

On the Volunteer Kansas website, you will find a listing of service opportunities throughout Kansas. This database is searchable by the organization, the type of service, and the county in which the activity takes place.

Derby values volunteerism. The Derby community is built on volunteers who are committed to making Derby a great place to live.

Listed below are some of the ways you can become involved in Derby:

City Boards & Commissions

The City relies on boards and commissions that are staffed by community volunteers. For more information, please visit the Boards and Commissions page here. If you have questions, contact Carolyn Morrison at 316-788-3132 or via email.
