Public Works Department

The City’s Public Works Department strives for consistent, effective management of the City’s infrastructure and recreational facilities. This assures a safe and friendly environment for Derby residents. Derby is well-known for its attractive, well-maintained streets and parks and recreational attractions, which makes the City very appealing to residents and visitors alike.

The Public Works Department is comprised of several job specific divisions: Street Maintenance and Repair; Parks, Forestry and Stream Maintenance; Metal Fabrication Shop; Sign and Signalization Management; and Water Maintenance. The department also has a GIS Coordinator who works specifically with the Police Department, Fire Department and Public Works Department. See the links on the right for more information.
