Health & Wellness Fair Set for September 24

The City of Derby Senior Services department invites residents to attend its Health & Wellness Fair on Friday, September 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Derby Recreation Center, 801 E. Market. This event is free and open to the public.
The Health & Wellness Fair will have a wide variety of vendors providing testing, information, and demonstrations to increase health and wellness awareness and to promote healthy living in our community. Most information is targeted to the seniors in our community.
Services available include flu shots (Medicare card or small fee), eye glass cleaning, muscle and body fat testing, ear checks, blood pressure checks, grip strength testing, chair massage, balance screening, nutrition and safety information, spinal/neck scans, vision checks. There will also be food, drinks, and door prizes.
Register for these additional services by September 17 by calling the Senior Center at 788-0223:
- Full Lipid Profile: $15/person
- Fasting Glucose Test: $10/person
The health fair is being supported by a number of community sponsors. Level 1 sponsors are Smith Chiropractic, Wichita Care Planning Council, EarCare Hearing Aid Centers, and Wesley Medical Center. Level II sponsors include Right at Home and Westview of Derby. Level III sponsors include Always There Senior Care, Broadway Home Medical, Damm Pharmacy, Derby Family MedCenter, Life Care Center of Andover, Swan Fitness, Via Christi Therapy Center-Derby, and Wal-Mart.
