Business Inspections

Derby Fire & Rescue performs annual business inspections each spring. The goal is to prevent fire damage to businesses and neighbors. The department has been inspecting commercial buildings since 2006.

When inspecting businesses, some of the fire safety code violations that firefighters look for are electrical wiring, fire extinguishers, exit signs, emergency lighting and storage.
