Municipal Court Prosecution

The city prosecutor, under the supervision of the city attorney, is responsible for prosecution of all alleged violations of City ordinances in Municipal Court as well as those cases appealed to the district or appellate courts. Other tasks include oversight of the municipal court diversion program, development and implementation of appropriate plea negotiation policies and strategies, monitoring post-sentencing case status, and initiating appropriate post-sentencing actions to assure execution of court judgments and orders.
