Today, Derby Municipal Court Judge William M. Kehr tendered his resignation, effective January 30. Yesterday, the Wichita City Council appointed Kehr to a full-time municipal judge position. Kehr has served part-time as the City of Derby’s judge since 2004.
“Judge Kehr has performed distinguished service for our community,” said Derby Mayor Dion Avello. “We congratulate him on his decision to enter public service full time.”
