City of Derby News Release
Assistant City Manager Accepts New Position in Topeka
January 8, 2008
Mandy Cawby (formerly Wagner), Assistant City Manager for the City of Derby, has accepted a new position with the Kansas Health Policy Authority in Topeka. Cawby’s last day at the City is January 11. Â
“It’s a bittersweet decision to leave the City,” said Mandy Cawby, Assistant City Manager. “Experiences like Derby are rare when you love not only what you do but also the community you do it for and the people you work with. Still, I look forward to broadening my experiences with the State and getting to work on behalf of communities in health policy reform.”
Cawby’s responsibilities with the KHPA will include managing outreach for the agency’s statewide health policy reform efforts.
The City plans to advertise for a professional public administrator in the coming weeks. The Assistant City Manager will assist the City Manager in handling the City’s overall management and will oversee the public information officer, municipal court services, and senior services, among other duties.
