UPDATE: Assault Suspect Still at Large

On Monday, February 7, 2011at 4:57 a.m. Derby Police officers were dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in west Derby.

Upon arrival, police discovered the scene of a sexual assault. Two individuals left the scene as officers entered the residence. One, a 26-year old white female, was apprehend in the yard behind the residence. The second, a white male, fled the area.

Two victims were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center for treatment of injuries related to the assault.

Investigators want to talk to Patrick T. Stewart, a 30 year-old white male. Stewart was last seen wearing blue jeans, black t-shirt, black boots, and a plaid golf cap.

Shortly after officers arrived at the scene, a vehicle was stolen three blocks from the site of the disturbance. The vehicle is a 1999 green and gold Dodge Caravan with Kansas license plate 465BDK. The van had “For Sale” written on the windows, a KU tag on the front, and NHRA stickers on the rear.
