City of Derby News Release

Citizens Invited to Attend Sedgwick County Legislative Delegation Meetings
January 4, 2008

During the month of January, the public is invited to share its comments and concerns with members of the Sedgwick County Legislative Delegation. This is an opportunity for citizens to let their local Legislators know how they feel about issues the Legislature will or should be dealing with during the 2008 Legislative Session.

On January 10, 2008, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. the Sedgwick County Legislative Delegation will be hearing input from local governmental units like the City of Wichita, Sedgwick County, and the Wichita Public Schools concerning their respective legislative agendas at the Marcus Center, 4201 E. 21st. on the Wichita State University Campus. This event will not be open to public comment; however, this is an excellent opportunity for citizens to attend and learn more about what local governmental officials are asking from the State Legislature in 2008.

The City of Derby plans to hold a Legislative Coffee at City Hall in early 2008 to give residents an opportunity to address their Legislators. The date and time will be announced soon.
