1. If hired by the City of Derby, when will my benefits begin?

Health and dental insurance begin on the first day of the month, following one full calendar month of employment. Memberships to the YMCA and DRC begin as soon as the paperwork is submitted. Other benefits starting dates may vary.

2. If I apply but I'm not selected for a position will I be notified?

Applicants that are not selected to continue on for testing or interviewing will receive an email informing them that they have not been selected.

3. How do I know that my application was submitted?

Applicants will receive a confirmation email when their application is received.
