The City of Derby held a Holiday Lights Tour & Contest December 4-24. There were 49 participants and 18 judges. Here are the winners in each category: 

• Traditional: Paul & Jeanene VanEtten, 1506 E. Blue Spruce Rd.
• Most Creative: Mark, Echo & Mason Staats, 1307 Meadowhaven Ln. 
• Neighborhood: Jim & Marilyn Leiszler, 1112 E. Post Oak
• Business: Calvary Baptist Church, 1636 E. Patriot Ave.
• People’s Choice: Ed & Cheri Craig, 1426 S. Gasaway Dr.
   (determined by votes on the city’s Facebook page)

"Thank you to all those who participated in this wonderful community event,” said Mayor Randy White. “The holiday lights tour and contest served as a bright spot when many other events were cancelled due to the pandemic. I look forward to seeing all your lights again in 2021.”
