Annual Gala Uncorked

The Venue at Madison Avenue Central Park, 512 E. Madison Ave.

Proceeds benefit the Derby Community Foundation's Community Enrichment Grant Program. Guests will enjoy wine and beer tasting, find foods prepared by local caterers, fine chocolate, and a live and silent art auction. Attire is cocktail dress.

Spring Into Art

Madison Avenue Central Park

Spring Into Art will include live music and performances by school groups and local artists, interactive art demonstrations, art
for sale, farmers market, food trucks and more. We are looking for art vendors/exhibitors who would like to participate. We have
space for 30 booths on the Event Lawn. Inclement weather will move activities inside. Event held rain or shine.

Citywide Garage Sale


May 2018
The annual CrimeStoppers of Derby citywide garage sale serves as the organization’s main fundraiser. Register at most financial institutions in Derby. For $10 you get a yard sign and a listing on the garage sale map printed and distributed by The Derby Informer. For more information contact Linsey Cutsinger at 351-9900.

Kite Festival


May 2018
1 to 4 p.m.
High Park

Kite clubs will showcase their skills and introduce you to the world of kite flying. Bring out your own kite and join in the fun with your family. The event also feature mega kites, kite demos, kite making, face painting, a balloon artist, candy drop, DJ, concessions, booths and vendors.

Independence Day Parade


July 4 at 10 a.m.
Sponsored by the Derby VFW and American Legion

The parade begins at Panther Stadium, proceeds west on Madison to Georgie, south on Georgie to Market, east on Market to Woodlawn, and ends at Panther Stadium.

Independence Day Celebration


July 4 at 7 p.m.
High Park, 2801 E. James

The City of Derby hosts an Independence Day Celebration at High Park. The event include music, ice cream social, kid's activities, and a fantastic fireworks display. The fun begins at 7 p.m. with fireworks around 9:30 p.m.

National Night Out


August 7, 2018
6 to 9 p.m.
Rock River Rapids, 1900 E. James

Enjoy a free night of swimming and fun at Rock River Rapids Aquatic Park. The police and fire/rescue departments have educational displays and there is free ice cream and a bike rodeo.

City Tree Lighting

Come enjoy Derby's 12th annual Tree Lighting. Enjoy an evening of kids activities and crafts, cookies, hot chocolate, and of course, Santa! The event is free and open to the public.
