Why 360?
Thanks to a grant from the National Center for Civic Innovation, Derby is on the cutting edge of the performance movement. Derby recently undertook this ambitious project to update the City’s performance measurements with an effort called the 360 Performance Program.
Why 360? It’s “360” because unlike many other performance systems, Derby’s program identifies and uses input from every stakeholder group (i.e. which City services are valued, what makes those services successful). The 360 Performance Program is innovative in that it starts with gathering input on service value from all stakeholders, seeking feedback from 360 degrees around.
